Bernard A. Bruni
Bernard was always a student of the game of boxing. His boxing career was cut short by an injury and he decided to become a trainer while in college. He worked with legendary trainer Less Krell from 1975 to 1978 when he became a USA boxing official. In 1987 Bernard got his license to be a Professional boxing judge. He became executive director of Pennsylvania Golden Gloves in 2002. The following awards have been presented to Bernard: 1994 and 1995 Middle Atlantic Official of the year 1998 Most efficient judge at GG Nationals-Biloxi,Ms 2002 Most outstanding referee at GG Nationals-Denver, Co. 2003 Penn State award for Dedication & Commitment to collegiate boxing 2005 Inducted into the Pennsylvania Golden Gloves Hall of Fame.
Bernard lives in New Boston, Pa with his wife Felicia and daughters Cara, and Maria.
